We are Ann Arbor Firefighters Local 693 of the International Association of Fire Fighters.  We currently have 94 members that provide services to include fire suppression, EMS, hazmat, and technical rescue.  We serve the community of Ann Arbor, Michigan and the University of Michigan. Population not including commuters is 114,000 in a 27 square mile area. We have 3 shifts and work one 24 hour day on and two 24 hour days off in a rotating cycle.  We staff six companies per day from five stations.  Our minimum staffing currently is 18 per day to run 6000 plus calls a year.
